We pride ourselves in being an organisation of strong principles, and hopefully this shines through all that we do. Our ethics are at the heart of our business, whether that be when dealing with customers, suppliers, the people we meet in running our business day to day, or our local community.
With this in mind, we made a team decision that we wanted to try and do more for our local community, specifically helping those that have fallen on hard times, and are struggling to make the decision whether they can afford to eat, or whether it will just be the kids that eat this week. We’re not making a political statement, the fact is that there have always been people who have had to make this decision, and there always will be. But there does seem to be a lot of it about at the moment, so we decided we wanted to support Knowsley Foodbank in the valuable work they do, and have teamed up with them to become a food collection point.
You will no doubt have seen foodbank collections in your local supermarket, and if you can’t get to us then please give something to those instead, But if you are passing by, or work locally then we would love to see you, even if just to say hi. We’re here Mondays – Fridays from 9am to 5pm, and anything you can spare from your weekly shop will be very gratefully received. Click here to find details of where we are.
Knowsley Foodbank have told us that they always need the following items, but if you have something different (unfortunately we are unable to accept any fresh food) then please do drop it in anyway. It will make the world of difference to somebody.
A full list of what foodbanks are able to take can be found on their individual websites or The Trussell Trust (the umbrella organisation for most foodbanks), but if you’re unsure, give us a call on 0151 489 9281 and we can advise.
Thanks so much for helping us make a difference.
