An address window is one of the really traditional features of a classic satchel. Satchels were the typical bag for all school students and as such a small window allowing them to add personal information was essential. Today this is all about aesthetics and many people love to have the address window to maintain that classic look whilst still making a fashion statement. The address window can easily be added to most of our bags that don’t have them as standard, and can also be excluded from those that do!
This simple addition can be fitted to most of our styles. The credit card holder can be added so that you can easily gain access to your cards. It is a standard feature of our Totes
This is a great way to give you an alternative and stylish way to carry your satchel. This classic addition gives the satchel a flat, square briefcase look that is both sturdy and elegant. The top plate and handle can also be made in a contrasting color to the rest of your bag, if you choose, giving a truly unique look. Please be aware that adding a briefcase handle will shrink the height of the bag by around half an inch.
Most of our classic satchels, and backpacks have the option to exchange the traditional buckle for a magnetic version, single or double (depending upon the style), which allows faster access to your bag. The magnetic fasteners have been carefully designed and are hidden behind a buckle, thus maintaining the classic look of the traditional buckle fastening. We would recommend that bags that will be carried by their handles would be better with a traditional buckle fastening.
The shoulder pad is both a useful and stylish addition to your new bag, giving a more comfortable fit on your shoulder, particularly if you carry a lot of weight in your bag, or carry it for long periods of time. Shoulder pads are available for all of our shoulder strap sizes, and can also be made in any color if you wish to add a little contrast to your bag. They are made from our standard leathers and backed with soft suede for a little extra padding and comfort.
A shoulder strap comes standard with most of our styles except for the totes and backpacks. The shoulder strap is adjustable so it allows you to wear your bag either across the body or as a shoulder bag. Depending on the size of the style the width of the shoulder strap changes. Our smallest shoulder strap width is 19 mm wide. You can upgrade the shoulder strap width to either a 25 mm one or a 38 mm one. Check the availability of the upgrade options on the style you select.
